A private career platform for job seekers
Controllables is a private career platform built for job seekers, not for employers. It finds roles that genuinely fit you, explains its reasoning in plain language, tailors a resume for each role, and keeps every opportunity organized in one place. It is pull only: it reads public job postings on your behalf and never broadcasts your name or a signal that you are looking.
Everything the app does is on your behalf and under your control. It proposes, you decide. Nothing is sent, shared, or acted on without your explicit approval.
When you choose to connect Google, Controllables requests only the access it needs to do the following, and only for the companies already in your pipeline. Its use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Export a document the app generates for you, such as a tailored resume, an interview prep sheet, or a post-call debrief, to your own Google Drive as a Google Doc. Access is limited to the files the app creates. The app never reads your existing Drive.
Read your calendar to detect interview events for roles in your pipeline and log them into that role's workspace. Read only. The app never writes to your calendar.
Read only messages from the domains of companies already in your pipeline (and the recruiting systems they send through), to surface candidacy-relevant mail into the TODAY queue on Home. The app never reads personal mail and never acts automatically. You approve every item.
Send only the specific emails you have composed and approved in the app, through a two-tap send. The app never sends on your behalf without explicit per-message approval.
